About me

Hi, I'm Maddy.

I'm a childbirth educator, advanced doula, lactation counselor, and mom of three who believes every family deserves to walk into birth feeling prepared—not terrified.

For nearly 10 years, I've helped families navigate pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and postpartum with practical, evidence-based education and a whole lot of encouragement.

But what I'm most passionate about?

Helping partners become the calm, confident support every laboring mom deserves.

It Started With My Own Birth Story

When I was pregnant with our first baby, my husband Spencer wanted to help.

He cared deeply.

He showed up.

But like so many partners, he had no idea what labor actually looked like.

He was overwhelmed...

He got lightheaded...

And yes—he spent a good portion of my labor throwing up.

Not because he wasn't supportive.

Because no one had ever taught him how.

Before our next birth, we prepared together.

He learned what labor would look like, how to support me through contractions, what to say when I doubted myself, and how to stay calm when things got intense.

The difference was incredible.

Instead of feeling helpless, he became my greatest source of comfort and confidence.

That's the experience I want every family to have.

Why I Created Daddy Doulas

After supporting hundreds of births, I noticed the same pattern over and over again.

Most partners want to help.

They just don't know how.

They're handed the hospital bag, told to "support her," and expected to figure it out in one of the biggest moments of their lives.

That shouldn't be the standard.

Daddy Doulas was created to change that.

Because when partners know what to do, everyone benefits.

Mom feels safer.

Partner feels confident.

Birth becomes something you experience together—not something that happens to you.

Ready to Prepare Together?

The best birth support doesn't happen by accident.

It happens when you prepare as a team.

That's exactly why I created Daddy Doulas—to give partners the confidence, tools, and step-by-step guidance they need to become an incredible support during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Inside the course, you'll learn:

  • How labor actually works (without the medical jargon)
  • Exactly what to do during contractions
  • Comfort techniques that really help
  • What to say when she's overwhelmed
  • How to advocate with confidence
  • How to support recovery after baby arrives
  • Printable cheat sheets to bring with you on birth day

Whether this is your first baby or your fourth, Daddy Doulas will help you walk into birth feeling calm, prepared, and ready to face it together.

Because she doesn't need you to be perfect.

She just needs you prepared.
